The Problem

A financial company in Illinois needed to contract with a new janitorial provider on short notice. The previous janitorial vendor was no longer going to continue to service their location and had given them limited notice. In addition to needing a new provider immediately, the client also needed the replacement vendor to be a diverse supplier. Due to the short timeline and diversity requirements, the client was concerned they would not find a new provider in time and would end up with a gap in service.

The Solution

The client’s property management group reached out to Marsden. Marsden is a strategic partner for the property management group, who knew that we had experience with condensed startup timelines and that we have a diversity partner, Tier One Property Services. Tier One is a Minority Business Enterprise offering janitorial services and has extensive experience managing sophisticated contracts and complex startups. Immediately, Marsden connected Tier One with the client and the property management group. Within days, Marsden was able to provide a solution. Marsden had multiple calls with the property management group and had Tier One’s Director of Operations meet with the client’s local VP to analyze the site and begin setting up service. Tier One worked with the client to identify the best time of week and time of day to deliver service and was also able to provide biweekly disinfection services. Marsden and Tier One’s collaborative communication efforts made it possible to manage the quick turnaround times. Local leadership was immediately engaged to respond to the clients needs and the client was kept involved throughout the process. Within two days, a solution was developed and in less than one week from the initial request, Tier One teams were at the site.

The Outcomes

Marsden was able to facilitate the introduction between the client and Tier One Property Services and then help to coordinate the startup process. Working in collaboration with the client, the property management company, and Tier One, Marsden was able to orchestrate a seamless startup that met the client’s needs without any disruption in service.
