Aztec, a Marsden Holding company based in Houston Texas, has been awarded top honors by ExxonMobil during this year’s Contractor Safety Recognition Dinner -- an event held annually to recognize on-site contract companies for exhibiting the safety mantra: “Nobody Gets Hurt”. Aztec, a Marsden Holding company based in Houston Texas, has been awarded top honors by ExxonMobil during this year’s Contractor Safety Recognition Dinner — an event held annually to recognize on-site contract companies for exhibiting the safety mantra: “Nobody Gets Hurt”. ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Refinery Manager, Mark Northcutt and Baton Rouge Complex Mechanical Manager, Erskine Frison addressed the crowd of 100 attendees representing 31 companies at the dinner. Emphasis was placed on the objectives of the LPS System and the importance of maintaining an active safety culture at the Baton Rouge Complex. There are four award levels:

  • BRONZE – One year Injury Free
  • SILVER – Second Consecutive Year Injury Free
  • GOLD – Three of More Consecutive Years Injury Free
  • DIAMOND – Three of More Consecutive Years Injury Free and deemed a Site Safety Performance Leader for the year

During the past calendar year, there were 13 Bronze Award Recipients, 3 Silver Award Recipients, 25 Gold Award Recipients and only 1 Diamond Award Recipient who exhibited an active safety mindset both on and off-the-job. In order to be eligible for the award a company must have worked 20,000 hours or more while maintaining zero recordable injuries.
